have tons to rant about, but too tired to type. fingers are currently possessed. typing nonsense is therapeutic. therapeutic is good, therefore i like nonsense. nonsense shall manifest this rant, because the fingers are typing it so.
read red colored elegy; bought it on the whim after reading/skimming the first 30 or so pages in bmv; it strangely depressed and disturbed me with its beautiful yet simplistic compositions... of a couple emo-ing x_X;; (emo-ing on loosest terms, but they are struggling with their lives, futures, and each other and definitely angst-filled) but i'll definitely do another read-through. for some crazy reason, this somehow reminds me of o'malley's lost at sea, which is one of my absolute faves (i don't care if i'm called emo). maybe it's the slice of life kind of thing, but... not really? hidden profoundness? although red colored elegy is much more vague about something ironically... not so vague? i'm no critic, so i can't explain =_= but the gestural illustrations are absolutely lovely.
i've also bought some other books that will be for some lovely inspiration/reference. for some reason i want to try a macabre/gothloli-esque art style path. well, it's always been there, but maybe pursue the path a little more strongly? i have no clue what i'm talking about now. but we will see, as i am inspired. i would draw now if my eyes didn't want to explode. we will see where my style goes within the next posts~
alice in wonderland comes out today~ can't wait to see it again. yes, it is a gorgeous movie x_x;; no clue why this was being compared to avatar, besides that it was viewed in 3D... but nothing else was avatar-esque about it???
i am also in love with 4minute's HuH. it is ridiculously catchy. ridiculous. the video is also addictive of these auto-repair girls dancing. and i want hyuna's hair.
now i want to read lost at sea again. and then red colored elegy right after x_x i should do that before sleeping...
the movie was indeed love, and carter's portrayal of the red queen... awesomesauce <3 fave char in the film xD;;
I can't wait to watch it again either. I love how it alludes to the classic Disney film but has it's own flavour. <3 Helena Bonham Carter.
