Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

pardon my rambling of rambles, because rambling is therapeutic. like karaoke. but i'm not at a karaoke bar. so rambling it is!

so school is kind of sort of really insanely crazy. it's to be expected. nothing new. good to meet up with some friends. also good to make more of an effort to talk to people in thesis. though i actually am scaring off people with my approach. i'll tone the scariness down. did i mention the workload is absolutely insane? we're all in a new realm~! i'll be off to some researching/designing soon. soon. soon. i will make sure of it. "if you don't have the answers, find it. if you don't have the time, make it" <- lurves that quote.

done with the ranting. i apologize to people's inboxes.

pps. i haven't kept up with my antic cafe for a looong while, and i just recently found out miku's suffering from depression or something x_X... it's true what they say, the happiest ones are often most depressed =X and natsu koi natsu game... song's nice... the para para dancing kind of frightens me, especially from kanon's end. as much as i love the dude, it is so ooc to see him dance against his own will xD;;
