Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling

I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.
And I honestly don't know when it will be finished - which oddly enough brings us to the good news:

As usual I don't want to spoil too much, but there is a part in the story where Spike and Sam are separated from each other for quite a long while. it's funny spending hours packing only my printed material stuff. only. i'm kinda scared. resting a bit now. too much packing. it's not good. i will get it done soon, i swear, i have to anyway. off to ranting about random j-horror and jrock for a breather.

anyway, off to random rants. i finally saw RINGU. i remember literally crying to the trailer when i saw it some years ago and lookie now x_x glutton for punishment, yes. never have i kept screaming to like, random... clips. never again ._. crazy long haired ghosts.

i also re-watched (after 5 years), Ryuhei Kitamura's VERSUS! one of my most fav. movies ever, just because. call it horrible, senseless, gratuitous and cheesy... sure, but it's an awesome laugh riot. the fight against all them zombies, seriously, it's entertaining as hell. love matsuda's character. looking back, i remembering calling him the yakuza version of the joker, and he is x_x i will do fanart of it one day... when free XD;; but seriously, good ol' times. i want to watch midnight meat train now ._.

now with albums! exist † trace vanguard of the muses. pretty damned awesome. their new stuff is much more fast paced and upbeat? it's different, but good. i can't seemingly pick a favourite... well, vanguard is uber. but i'm also taking a grand liking to オルレアンの少女 and lost in helix. well, i like all the songs XD;; fanart of that spammed sooner or later.

and d'espaaaa... mah lurvely d'espa. redeemer was out a while ago, yes. i've listened through it semi-carefully... once...ish, so i can't say much yet, but i know that i absolutely adore a certain track, paradox 5. tranquil, exotic and melancholic. everything about that song is flippin beautiful. but yeah, i need to hear the whole album through again. though some tracks reminds me of the older d'espa. like 琥珀 and lost in rebirth, which is yum.

Hey, did the bootlegs at Chinatown Centre ever have Ringu?
I remember back in the day, maybe 5-7 years ago how popular The Ring got, and how everyone was saying the Japanese version was way scarier!

To be honest, I saw Eng version, but forgot the storyline. Something about horror-mystery-thriller movies never grab my interest enough to want to watch them! But Saw was quite good. Probably the scariest movie I've seen was Bride of Chucky! AHHH. I saw that in grade 3. Scared the shit outta me!

XD imo, ringu is scary ;_; my eyes were tearing up in fear. i don't like ghosts or things that are beyond human control, but i dunno why i watch 'em ._. chucky... funny enough, i'm used to him XD;; just 'cause of one scene in one of the movies, i saw like, the hand of the person controlling the puppet XDDD

imdb is quite lurvely XD;; i have a thing of reading what people have to post on the boards there x_x and moving... i am so hoping i am not forgetting things. eek, you lost a microSD? ;___; the evils of things being overlooked =X
